CURRENT VOLUNTEER CITIZEN VACANCIES:

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)
The CAC brings citizens into the heart of the planning process. Members represent specific geographic areas as well as disabled and minority communities. The CAC meets monthly (off June & July), and reviews proposed plans, projects, and funding priorities from the public’s perspective and provides recommendations directly to the MPO Board.

  • Representative for the City of Naples
  • Representative for Collier County District 3
  • Representative for Collier County District 5

Local Coordinating Board (LCB)
The LCB focuses on transportation services for Collier County’s transportation‑disadvantaged population – identifying service needs, advising the Community Transportation Coordinator, and reviewing the quality and availability of services. The board meets quarterly and hosts at least one public hearing each year to gather community input.

  • Citizen Advocate/Paratransit User
  • Representative for the Elderly (must be 65+)
  • Representative for the Private Transportation Industry

The Collier MPO Board is supported by five advisory committees, each governed by its own set of bylaws. Committee members may be citizen volunteers, jurisdictional staff, or agency representatives.
